MarketIdaho is small state postal history wise. It has a long and accessible territorial period. Even though its population is small, many people of some connection because of vacationing. That makes it an attractive state to collect. Demand for Idaho was once strong. Prices were strong. Demand was stable for years, but there are now fewer collectors and the marketing is weakening. Among the 50
states, the District of Columbia, R.P.O.'s and
Streetcars, Idaho rates as the 3rd state in terms of
percentage of cover sold at 75.29%. It ranks 41st in
terms of the value of covers sold as percentage of all
town cancels sold at 0.71%. The overall rank is 15th.
This is a ten year running average. The most recent
trends are about the same.
